Accounting team takes on the Noosa Triathlon

A big shout out to the Holmans Heroes: Jarryd, Tony & Chris – Team Holmans in the 2017 Noosa Triathlon on Sunday, 5 November 2017.

With a swim starting off beautiful and calm Noosa Main Beach, a ride that takes in the scenery of the stunning surrounding Hinterland and a run that soaks up all that Noosa has to offer – what more could you ask for? Noosa Triathlon is Australia’s Favourite Triathlon event.

2017 marked the 35th Anniversary of this world famous triathlon, with an office based in Noosa the Holmans team viewed the race as the perfect opportunity to show that they are so much more than ‘just accountants’.

The Holmans team consisted of the following 3 athletes;
Swimmer – Jarryd Gunter – to compete in the gruelling 1500m ocean swim.
Cyclist – Tony Rossiter – to ride 40km in the undulating hillside.
Runner – Christopher Nicoll – to run 10km in the blistering heat.

Jarryd (swimmer) started the event for the team, enduring the high tide slack water on the way to recording a respectable 33 minute and 58seconds swim which started at 9:30am.

The team then swapped over to cyclist Tony who enjoyed assistance on the fast ride out to Cooroy, from a strong tailwind. As he turned to head back to Noosa the wind turned to headwind and made the ride home a hard slog.

Chris then started his run at 11:30am and it felt uncomfortably hot, definitely above the 27C as reported. Chris finished the run at 12:46pm.

Total combined team time for Team Holmans: 3:15:10

Jarryd: 1.5km Swim – 33:58
Transition 1 (T1) – 4:28
Tony: 40km bike ride – 1:17:34
Transition 2 (T2) – 2:59
Chris: 10km run – 1:16:10
